Inside the Main Studio

Equipment
- Sewing machine(s) and accessories, $5 per machine per hour (up to 10)
- Priority access to 2 × overlockers and 1 × coverstitch machine
- 2 × ironing stations, hand steamer, pressing hams
- 5 × stand up cutting tables
- Cutting mats, rotary cutters, scissors and all other haberdashery, plus a small shop for the things you forgot
The room itself
- One large table holding 8, or 10 at a squash
- Tea and coffee machine, fridge, microwave, sink, milk
- Change room
- 2 × toilets
- Air conditioning
- 1 × teacher spot car park
Main Studio
Everything listed is included in the hire, except sewing machines, which are $5 each per hour.

- Sewing machines: $5 per machine per hour, with accessories, one per person, in the Green Room and Main Studio. We choose the model.
- Book a term: book the same time every week for 8 weeks or more and get 30% off the room (not machines).
- Two rooms: each room is priced on its own and added together.
- Running a paid class or business? You’ll need your own public liability insurance.

Getting here
Finding the door
Level 1, 39–43 Shepherd Street, Marrickville. Entry is inside the front area, with the door to the left. Ring the bell to be let inside.
Parking
On weekends there are three spots: one marked Usefulbox Teacher and two under the tree. Otherwise it is street parking, and Wemyss or Perry Streets are your best bet.
Accessibility
The studio is on level one of the building, up two flights of stairs. There is no lift. Worth knowing before you book if you are bringing gear with you, or if stairs are difficult.
Hours
Rooms can be hired from 8am to 9pm, whenever they are free between classes. Minimum hire is two hours, then in half hour steps.
