Zips & Buttonholes Masterclass
7 hours
Max 6 students
Level 1, 39–43 Shepherd St, Marrickville

Master the Two Most Feared Techniques

Zips and buttonholes are two techniques that often stop sewists in their tracks. But here’s the good news — they’re not as scary as they seem.

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll demystify both techniques and give you the skills to tackle zips and buttonholes with real confidence. This class is essentially two masterclasses in one:

- Morning: Zips — lapped and invisible - Afternoon: Buttonholes & Buttons — sewing, spacing, layout, and how to sew buttons on with your machine - Bonus: If time permits, we will sew a pouch with a visible zip

By the end of the day, you’ll understand not only how to sew them, but when to use each technique for the best finish.

SKILL LEVEL: CONFIDENT BEGINNER • You can thread and operate your sewing machine • You understand basic seam allowances • You’re ready to expand your garment construction skills

If you’ve completed a beginner class and have a couple of projects under your belt, this workshop is perfect for you.
