A great bag makes everything better. And a bag you made yourself? Even better than that.

In this two-day workshop, Ali guides you through making the Oxbow Tote by Noodlehead — a beautifully designed, versatile zip-top tote with an easy-access front pocket, reinforced base, crossbody strap and a roomy interior with a slip pocket.

It's a proper, grown-up bag that looks like you bought it somewhere fancy. You didn't. You made it.

Day 1

Cutting and preparing your fabric and interfacing

Installing a secure zip-top closure

Sewing and attaching the exterior front pocket

Beginning bag construction

Day 2

Constructing and reinforcing the bag base

Attaching hardware for the crossbody strap

Adding the interior slip pocket

Final assembly and finishing

Class format

2 x sessions over a weekend - Saturday afternoon 130-430pm and Sunday 930am-4pm

Ali Dibley is an embroidery artist and sustainable fashion advocate. With a fashion background from University of Technology Sydney, she’s worked in bridal dressmaking, teaching and vintage hire. She loves reworking garments and adding a little sparkle.
