Sewing kids clothes is so rewarding and a chance to finesse skills!
Kelda will host you in this 6 hour class to learn how to make a simple gathered kids dress step by step.
You'll be learning pattern /fabric cutting, construction steps, lining, buttonholes and hemming. All great skills to apply to all garments and projects.
The pattern we will be using is to be confirmed but will be in sizes 0 (6-12months) up to size 8.
While we will endeavour to get your dress finished in the 6 hours, you will indeed walk away with all the skills you need to finish your bag at home.
Skill level: Advanced beginner to Intermediate Sewists
What you will learn:
- How to cut your pattern from your fabric
- How to gather fabric
- Buttonhole
- Adding Lining
- Hemming

- Sewing machines for your use - Bernina 335 or Brother Innovis A80
- Sewing Pattern & instructions to take home

What you need to bring:
- OPTIONAL: Your clean machine along with all its power cords and the foot pedal, the machines accessories, especially all the feet. Note that you will need to bring this up two flights of stairs yourself.
