Entry is inside the front area with the door to the left. Please ring the bell to be let inside.

PARKING INFORMATION

  • No onsite parking on weekdays 8am - 6pm
  • After 6pm & on weekends, there are two spots available under the tree (marked as Future Associate) only
  • The best streets to find parking is Weymss or Perry Streets
  • You are welcome to stop for 2mins in the driveway to drop your bags at the door and then find a park.
  • There is no parking in front of the garage door under the awning at any time
  • Please park in the bays properly so as not to take up two spots
  • Bike Parking is in the outdoor area and is at your own risk.

 

ACCESSIBILITY

Our studio is on level one of the building. There are two flights of stairs to enter the studio.

To make it easier, we provide Bernina 335 and Brother A80 sewing machines to use while you are sewing with us. You are of course welcome to bring your own but you will be responsible to bring it up the stairs yourself.

Getting Started

How do I choose the right sewing class?
Each class listing includes a skill level guide.

Beginner — no experience needed
Intermediate — confident using your machine and sewing simple projects
Advanced — experienced garment sewing

If you're unsure, feel free to get in touch and we’ll help you choose.

I’m a complete beginner — is that okay?
Absolutely. Our beginner classes are designed for people who have never used a sewing machine before. You’ll be guided step-by-step in a relaxed and supportive environment.

What should I bring to class?
If you have your own sewing machine, we encourage you to bring it so you can learn on your own machine.

Please bring:
• your machine
• power cord and foot pedal
• all accessories and feet

If you prefer not to bring your machine, you’re very welcome to use one of our studio machines.

If your class runs over lunch, feel free to bring something to eat. There is a fridge and microwave available.

You’ll receive a full list of requirements after booking.

Do you provide sewing machines?
Yes. We teach on the Brother A80 and Bernina 335. These machines are beginner-friendly and lovely to sew on.

Booking & Attendance

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

When you book a class or course, you are reserving a limited place in a small studio.

If You Cancel

15+ days before start date 

• Full refund.

What happens if I’m late to class?
Classes begin promptly. If you are running late, please contact the studio. Teachers remain with the class and are unable to follow up with students who have not arrived.

Non-attendance forfeits payment.

What if I can’t attend my class?
Due to small class sizes, we do not offer make-up classes. Please check our Terms & Conditions before booking.

Can I switch classes?
Within 14days, We’ll always try to help if there is availability, but transfers are not guaranteed and attracts a $25 fee.

What happens if a class is cancelled?
If a class doesn’t go ahead, you’ll be offered a transfer, credit or refund.

Classes & Learning

Will I finish my project?
Often yes. For larger projects, you may complete most of it in class and finish at home with confidence.

Can I come on my own?
Yes — most people do. Our classes are friendly and welcoming.

I’m nervous — what are classes like?
That’s completely normal. Classes are small, supportive and relaxed, and you’ll get plenty of help.

I have a favourite garment — can I copy it?
Yes. We run Copy It! workshops where you can learn how to create a pattern from a garment you already own.

Do you teach quilting and embroidery?
Yes. We offer beginner-friendly and intermediate classes in both quilting and embroidery.

Machines & Equipment

I’m thinking of buying a sewing machine — can you help?
Yes. We have a Sewing Machine Buying Guide on our homepage to help you choose the right machine.

What sewing machines do you use in class?
We teach on the Brother A80 and Bernina 335.

What if my sewing machine isn’t working?
Bring it in and we’ll take a look. You can always use one of our studio machines if needed.

Do you offer sewing machine servicing?
Yes. We use and trust Castillo Machine Repairs for our own studio machines.

You can drop your machine at the studio and we’ll organise servicing.

Servicing is typically $150–$250 depending on what’s required.

Kids, Private & Group Lessons

Do you run kids classes?
Yes — we run afterschool sewing classes for kids aged 8+.

Do you run school holiday kids classes?
Not at the moment. We currently focus on term classes.

Can my child try a class before committing?
Yes — trial classes are available subject to availability. Please contact us to arrange.

Do you offer private lessons?
Yes — private 1:1 lessons are available.

Do you offer group bookings?
Yes — private group sessions are available for friends and special occasions.

Shop & General

Can I purchase a gift voucher for a friend?
Yes. Gift vouchers are digital and valid for 3 years.

Do you ship products?
Orders are packed within 1 business day. Delivery is usually 2–3 business days across Australia.

Where can I park?
Street parking is available nearby.

Are animals allowed?
No. Animals are not permitted inside the studio or anywhere on the premises, and cannot be tied up outside or to the fence on the pavement.
