Fawn Dress Workshop — Sew Your First Handmade Dress!

Now that you’ve got a few projects under your belt (pardon the pun!), it’s time to level up and tackle garment sewing with the Fawn Dress by Common Stitch.

This next-step beginner workshop takes things at an easy pace while focusing on pattern cutting, garment construction, and finishing techniques. By the end of the day, you’ll have a comfy, versatile handmade dress you’ll be proud to wear!

The Fawn Dress pattern includes two bodice styles and two skirt lengths (short + long, with or without sleeves) — giving you four design combinations to choose from. These dresses are designed to be oversized, so no need to size up. Mix and match fabrics and lengths to make it truly your own.

👉 Please note: we ask that you trace and prepare your pattern pieces before class so you can spend more time sewing. Pattern files will be sent upon booking, and we’re happy to guide you with sizing.

• Use of a Brother A80 or Bernina 335 sewing machine (or bring your own)

• Expert tuition in a small group (max 5 students, ages 18+)

• Your fabric (guidance will be sent upon booking)

• Prepared pattern pieces (traced + cut)

• (Optional) Your sewing machine with foot pedal, power cord, and manual
