This class is the perfect next step after our Beginner Workshop. You’ll gain confidence working with fabric, patterns and construction — while creating your own beautiful cushion cover.

And the best part? You’ll learn how to insert an invisible zip. Yes, really. It’s one of those techniques that sounds scary… but once you’ve done it, you’ll feel like a total pro.

CLASS FORMAT

• 4.5-hour workshop
• Small group (3–6 students)
• Step-by-step guidance in a supportive environment

WHAT’S INCLUDED

• Use of studio sewing machines — Brother A80 or Bernina 335
• 4 hours of expert tuition
• A fun, relaxed and encouraging studio environment
• Tea and coffee throughout

WHAT TO BRING

• 1.5m cotton, linen or upholstery fabric (non-stretch, no stripes)
• 45cm invisible zip
• 50cm cushion insert
• Matching Gutermann or Rasant thread

OPTIONAL:
• Purchase a full kit for $55 and have it ready for you in class

• Fabric scissors and sewing kit (available to purchase if needed)

OPTIONAL: Bring your own sewing machine (with cords, pedal and accessories)
Please note you will need to carry it up two flights of stairs
