It's going to get chilly so let's get cosy in a new Boiled Wool Overcoat!
Boiled wool makes for cosy layers in this cool cool weather! It is a relatively easy fabric to sew with and you can leave the edges raw. But there are a few tricks to sewing it.
Join Megan McKee-Griffith, in this 4 hour class to learn the basics of sewing with boiled wool. You'll learn how to cut it out properly and the special overlapping seam technique.
The pattern we are using is the Tessuti Verona Jacket.
While we will endeavour to get your coat finished in the 4 hours, you will indeed walk away with all the skills you need to finish your jacket at home.
Skill level: Intermediate to advanced
What you will learn:
- How to cut your boiled wool
- Needle position and stitch length
- Overlapping seams

- Your cut out pattern - your pattern will be sent to you upon booking and we would love it if you could bring your pattern pieces with you to class.
