Always been a bit nervous to sew with leather? Need a new clutch bag to bring to the next Frocktails?
Join Kylie, from Kylie & the Machine, to learn to conquer that fear of sewing leather and make a Metallic Leather Ida Clutch bag on Saturday 12 May.
The Ida Clutch
The Ida Clutch is Kylie's own pattern which is taking the sewing world by storm - just see here. It's the perfect size for a night out (Frocktails eh?), with its zip enclosure, metallic snap and if you have time a leather tassel.
Sewing with leather
This class will take you from the very basics of sewing with leather and making bags. You will have your choice of 2-3 metallic leathers and also Black and White leather to make a full metallic clutch or a two-toned one! You can also go crazy or subdued with your lining fabric (provided). Oh, the possibilities are endless!
Join us for a wonderful few hours of learning something new and making new friends!

Sewing is my hobby and my passion, I’m pretty much always thinking about what I’d love to make next, though time is often fleeting with 3 youngins’. I used to do a lot of people watching and style stalking out in the city, it’s not something I love to do with the kids… Thank You Pinterest!! I have no formal training apart from some home economics classes at school. I have endless thanks for the people who have shared their skills with others’ online, and I am looking to give back a little too. You just might learn something new when we sew our Ida clutches together!
