Let's really get sewing! This 4 week Learn to Sew course is for those who want to get sewing fast and consistently!
Each week we will build on the skills learnt from the precious week. The first two weeks will focussed on learning how to thread your machine, sew some basic stitches and sew a curved line plus hem, ending with making a little drawstring bag. The next two weeks will focus on skills such as zips, buttonholes and pattern cutting.
Our weekday classes run for 2 hours each (total 8 hours of class) and our weekend lessons run for 3 hours each (total of 12 hours of class).
Skill level: Complete beginner - bring your machine in the box!
What you will learn:
What all those knobs do
How to change your needle
How to thread both the bobbin and the machine
Sew basic straight stitches to the seam allowance and zig zag the edges
Trouble shoot basic machine problems

Copies tea and coffee, even some baked treats

Your fabric scissors and sewing kit - if you don't have one, you can buy one here and have it waiting for you in the class.

Wednesdays 6 Feb through to 25 Feb - 10am - 12pm
Thursdays 7 Feb through to 26 Feb - 10am - 12pm
Wednesdays 13 March through to 1 April - 10am - 12pm
Thursdays 14 March through to 2 April - 10am - 12pm
Weekends - 3 hours each, over 4 weeks, $360
Sundays 3 Feb through to 24 Feb, 9am - 12pm
Saturdays 9 March through to 30 March, 9am - 12pm
