"Okay so as you know Gwen Blake recently lost her mind and commissioned several kilometres of Chat 10 FABRIC. Her megalomaniacal vision is for legions of Chatters kitted out in themed fabric like the goddamn Von Chat Family Singers or something. She has enlisted the tremendous textile brain of Caz from UsefulBox Sewing School to design and produce the fabric and lovely patient clever Caz recently was dragged to my home by Gwen and kindly ran me through a demo of the fabrics. We’re calling them Cabbage Noir and Cabbage Seafoam!" Annabel Crabb.

This fabric is great for homewares and garments that need a bit of structure as it is heavier and thicker. For homewares, think cushion covers, curtains, aprons, napkins, quilts and then use the offcuts for beeswax wraps. It’s also perfect for tote bags, grocery bags and zip pouches, even hats!
If you are a garment sewsit, it would work for those that need some weight or for patterns that call for bottom weight fabric. I would suggest pants, full circle skirt, fitted dresses, jackets and even vintage style dresses.

Light, cool and breezy! This fabric has the most lovely drape and would suit fine, flowy garments. Summer dresses, sweet tops and flouncy skirts! It is a little sheer so best to add some flirty volume!
As for homewares and accessories, I can see this fabric is the most gorgeous of curtains. Or you could make up hemmed scarves for your book club, or a sweet set of napkins.
